Musical Direction by Andrew Gilbert
Andrew Gilbert is the Musical Director here at DAC and has an extraordinary gift for working with children. With a Bachelors degree in Performing and Visual Arts and Education from Nova Southeastern University and additional artistic studies at the University of Florida, Andrew's experience and qualifications are a perfect fit for our Broadway Stars musical theater program. For the past 5 years he has been on faculty at the University School of Nova Southeastern as their Lower School Musical Director and Assistant Director, directing such children's shows as Annie, Fugitive Songs, The Adventures of Lewis and Clark, American Bandstand, Jungle Book Jr, Aladin Jr and Mulan Jr. Since 2008, Andrew also serves as the Musical Director for the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts, where he has been writing and producing full-length musicals for students of the arts, and bringing their original works of art to the stage. Along his journey, he has also worked as Music Director for several profressional companies and theatres including the Mainstreet Players, Promethean Theatre, Thinking Cap Theatre and Viridian. Upon returning to the Palm Beaches, he continues to instruct students in piano, guitar and voice, and to work as a freelance musician providing services in composition, recording and production and musical arragements. Andrew was born and raised right here in Wellington, and so returning home, he is excited to grow the arts community here in his own hometown!
Emily Barona-Gilbert is one of the newest members of the DAC family, serving as one of the Directors for the Broadway Star's Minis Program. Emily is receiving her Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Theatre and Education from Florida International University in December. For the past year she served as the Drama Instructor at Eagle Arts Academy Charter School in Wellington, FL. Since 2010, Emily has stage managed, performed, and written musicals with several professional theatre companies is South Florida including Main Street Players, Viridian, Impromedy, MicroTheater Miami, and FIU's Alternative Theatre Festival. Joining the faculty at DAC to work with the talented young artists in the Broadway Stars Program and as an acting instructor has solidified Emily's commitment to the arts in Wellington and she hopes to see more amazing theatre right here in our home!

Broadway Stars performances will be showcased as in-house productions and in the historical and Old School Square, Crest Theatre, at the Delray Center For The Arts in Downtown Delray Beach. Professionally run sound, state of the art lighting, spacious dressing rooms, and top-notch crew all contribute to your child having a professionally run musical theater experience!
Musical Direction by Melissa Boher Jacobson
Melissa Boher Jacobson is a professional performer, director and producer, musical director as well as a busy vocal, audition and public speaking coach. She is an Artist-in-Residence Vocal Instructor for the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Theatre Department, and the former Director of Education for the Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Conservatory. She has appeared throughout the country and Off Broadway in opera, musical theatre and in concert.
Artistic Direction, Direction and Choreography By Rocky Duvall
Rocky has been performing all of his life. He got his start at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, and completed his training on full scholarship with Gus Giordano Jazz Dance in Chicago. He has travelled extensively performing with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and worked successfully in all facets of the South Florida professional theatre community as a member of Actors Equity Association. In recognition of Rocky’s choreography in the year 2000, he was nominated for a Carbonell Award (a South Florida Theater Critics Award). In addition to his career as a performer, Rocky has taught master classes at prestigious dance studios from Palm Beach through the Fort Lauderdale area. He has also held the position of Director of the Dance Department at the North Broward Preparatory Schools in Coconut Creek, instructed and choreographed for Olympic Heights High School in Boca Raton, the Palm Beach Principal Players, the Wellington High School Dance Team and for Avi Hoffman’s New Vista Theater Company in Boca Raton. Since moving to Wellington, for the past 11 years he has owned and operated the Dance Arts Conservatory with his wife Dorie and their combined artistic vision at DAC has created a diverse dance program from which their students emerge with a powerfully rounded dance experience. In support of the arts in the Western communities, he supports the "Wellington Idol" events as a judge and MC, and also produces local talent through Rock'n the Mike Productions. Committed to bringing the arts to the community on a significant level, Rocky founded Wellington Ballet Theatre in 2011, a not for profit dance company and charitable organization providing cultural enrichment through the art of dance and innovative performance.
